Under Dr. Sr. Rita D Souza’s guidance, the paediatric unit operates effectively and offers comprehensive healthcare services to infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Pediatrician also plays a critical role in preventive healthcare by conducting routine check-ups, administering vaccinations, and providing guidance on nutrition, growth, and development of Infants.
When to Consult a Paediatrician for Treatment
You can reach out to the Paediatric department of St. Ignatius Hospital, if you observe one or more of the following symptoms:
- Persistent Fever
- Difficulty Breathing: Shortness of breath, wheezing, or rapid breathing.
- Severe Coughing:
- Unexplained Rashes
- Vomiting or Diarrhea: Ongoing vomiting or diarrhea, especially if accompanied by dehydration or other concerning symptoms.
- Unusual Fatigue: Extreme tiredness or lethargy that interferes with daily activities.
- Abdominal Pain: Severe or persistent abdominal pain that does not improve with time.
- Frequent or Severe Headaches: Headaches that occur frequently or are severe in nature.
- Painful Urination or Blood in Urine: Signs of a urinary tract infection or other issues related to urination.
